About the house

The cabin offers 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 beds, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. You’ll also find wifi, Chromecast, two sunny verandas, a charcoal grill, and a swing set for children. Firewood and electricity are included. Check-in is easy with a key code, and you can drive all the way to the door. A perfect choice for families looking for a relaxing holiday close to nature.

Location

Peacefully situated next to a farm at about 500 meters above sea level, just a 12-minute drive from Nesbyen town center. A short drive takes you up into the mountains with great hiking and skiing opportunities year-round.

Facilities

• Sleeping arrangements: 3 bedrooms (one double bed, two with bunk beds). Please note that one bedroom is accessed through the bathroom.
• Outdoor area: Sunny terraces, swing set, and a charcoal grill (firewood available in the shed).
• Boat: A rowing boat is available at Lake Skålsrudstølvannet – contact the hosts if you wish to use it.

Activities from the house

• Walks & runs: The quiet gravel road below the house is ideal for a stroll or jog. For a loop, follow Espesetveien uphill and return via trail.
• Viewpoint: A 15-minute walk leads you to Bakkeberget lookout.
• Mountain biking: Espesetstien starts just a few hundred meters away and runs all the way to the town center. The spectacular HallingSpranget trail – one of Europe’s longest flow trails – can be reached with the bike shuttle from Nesbyen. Trail maps are available at Trailguide.net and Trailforks.com.
• Bikes: Rentals available in Nesbyen. Bikes can be stored in the shed, with space for washing.

Popular family day trips

• Langedrag Nature Park: Get close to wolves, lynx, elk, and other Nordic animals.
• Bjørneparken (Bear Park) in Flå: Home to bears, foxes, crocodiles, and a large play area.
• Both parks are within comfortable driving distance and are especially popular with families.

Access and parking

Driveway access all the way to the cabin with parking right outside. In winter, 4WD or snow chains may be useful in difficult driving conditions.
